Gion is the most attractive region in Kyoto. The beautiful small streets of Gion have traditional Japanese houses on both sides. Kyoto has a good location that makes it possible to see the many other cities around it by short train trips. Nara was on the first place on my to-see list. This city was the capital of Japan between 710-784 and celebrated its 1300th birthday on 2010. This information made me expect to see a hilarious city with a rich culture and beautiful nature. I was not disappointed at all!
Kamakura is one of the lovely cities near Tokyo that can be covered by a day trip. What makes it interesting is that it has a nice small beach and is full of temples since the city was the capital of Japan between 1185 and 1333. These facts make the city very attractive for tourists and even for Japanese people.
