Day Trippers

How nice it is to spend a whole day simply reveling in the city you are living in, without rushing around for anything, without running any errands, without struggling with daily problems. Just like you are a tourist in your city, but in a different way because things are not new to you. It is a much better way because it allows you see the details which you would have missed as a tourist while focusing on the bigger picture and the beauty you would miss as a local while focusing on small problems. Winter Sun

The sunlight, which I thought would never come back again after so many dark weeks, appeared on Saturday. We took a walk in the city, did some gift shopping, had a cup of coffee and enjoyed the light. I think I can survive with the coldness of Sweden for a long while, but the darkness makes me feel very depressed during winter time. I am happy that Christmas is just around the corner and the decorations all around the city help to cheer me up a bit.

Keeping Shoes in Order

One of the biggest problems I used to have with my wardrobe in the old apartment was that I didn’t have enough space for my shoes. So, I stashed them in a part of the closet and never got to see which pairs I had as an option when it came to picking an appropriate pair with an outfit. This began to be a problem when I started to buy new pairs that were very similar to the ones I already had.
