Aix en Provence is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen. The city was established by Ancient Rome in 123 BC, and is today known as the city of Cezanne. The city center is the old city, and it has many tiny streets that are very lively and connect small squares to each other. Besides, the new part of the city is planned so well that it looks so natural next to the old one.
Nice was our next stop after Cannes. It is very easy to travel between these two close cities by train. When we arrived in Nice we were disappointed a bit by the area around the central station. Then we walked to the city and the seaside and discovered the beauty in it. The big square Place Masséna was very attractive. There I realized how different the south and the north of France are from each other.
On our second day in Marseille we took a train for a day trip to Cannes. The most important thing about Cannes is the film festival that has taken place since 1946. The city is small with a population of 72.000, but very lively and nice.
I was very excited to go to Paris. It was going to be my first time and I was going to hear people speaking French around me for days. From the first moment we arrived, I felt like I was in a French movie.
